Cardboard Vault


Overview

Cardboard Vault is a luxury trading card and tabletop collectibles store. Due to the nature of collectible, sealed, graded, and randomised products, all sales are final, except where required under Australian Consumer Law (ACL).

This policy applies to all purchases, including:

  • In-store purchases

  • Online orders

  • Event-related purchases


Change of Mind

Cardboard Vault does not offer refunds, exchanges, or store credit for change-of-mind purchases, including but not limited to:

  • Trading cards (sealed or singles)

  • Graded cards

  • Tabletop games or miniatures once opened

  • Event tickets or entry fees

  • Incorrect purchases

  • Pull outcomes or chase card expectations

Please choose carefully before completing your purchase.


Trading Cards – Sealed Products

  • All sealed trading card products are sold as-is

  • Cardboard Vault does not guarantee pulls, contents, rarity, or outcomes

  • No refunds or exchanges will be provided once sealed products are opened 

  • Manufacturer collation or print issues are outside our control

Randomised products are not considered faulty under Australian Consumer Law.


Trading Cards – Singles (Raw Cards)

  • Singles are inspected prior to sale (by the buyer)

  • Condition is subjective and may vary based on collector standards

  • Product images form part of the item description

  • No refunds or exchanges will be provided based on:

    • Minor imperfections

    • Centering, surface, edges, or corners

    • Future grading outcomes

Raw singles are not guaranteed to achieve any specific grade.


Graded Cards

  • Graded cards are sold as authenticated and graded by the grading company displayed (PSA, BGS, CGC, etc.)

  • Cardboard Vault is not responsible for:

    • Grading company errors

    • Label inaccuracies

    • Future regrades or cross-grades

    • Market value fluctuations

All graded card sales are final.


Tabletop Games & Miniatures

  • Tabletop games, books, and miniatures are sold sealed

  • No returns or exchanges once opened

  • Assembled, painted, or commissioned items (if offered) are final sale

  • Event-based tabletop fees are non-refundable unless the event is cancelled by Cardboard Vault


Pre-Orders

  • Full payment is required at the time of pre-order unless stated otherwise

  • Release dates are estimates only and may change due to supplier delays

  • Pre-orders are non-refundable

  • Allocation quantities may change at the discretion of suppliers

If a product is cancelled by the supplier, a refund or store credit will be issued.


Faulty or Incorrect Items (Australian Consumer Law)

Under Australian Consumer Law, you are entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund if an item:

  • Has a major fault

  • Is significantly different from its description

  • Is unsafe

  • Does not perform as reasonably expected

Where applicable:

  • Minor faults may be repaired or replaced at our discretion

  • Major faults may be eligible for a refund or replacement


What Is NOT Considered a Fault

The following are not considered faults under ACL:

  • Randomised card contents

  • Pull rates or chase outcomes

  • Minor cosmetic imperfections

  • Manufacturing variations

  • Changes in market value

  • Damage caused by misuse, mishandling, or normal wear


Returns Process (If Eligible Under ACL)

If you believe your item qualifies under Australian Consumer Law:

  1. Contact us within 7 days of receiving your order

  2. Email contact@cardboardvault.au with:

    • Order number

    • Description of the issue

    • Clear photos or supporting evidence

Returned items must be:

  • In original condition (where applicable)

  • Returned using a trackable service

Return shipping costs may apply unless the item is deemed faulty under ACL.


In-Store Purchases

  • Customers are encouraged to inspect items before purchase

  • Once an item leaves the store, it is considered accepted

  • Refunds are only available where required under Australian Consumer Law


Refusal of Returns

Cardboard Vault reserves the right to refuse returns where:

  • The request falls outside ACL requirements

  • The item shows signs of misuse or tampering

  • The claim is fraudulent or abusive

  • The return request is made outside the allowed timeframe


Fraud & Chargebacks

We maintain a zero-tolerance policy for:

  • Chargeback abuse

  • False claims

  • Platform manipulation

Abuse may result in refusal of service or account restriction.


Policy Updates

Cardboard Vault reserves the right to update this policy at any time.
The most current version will always be available on our website.
